Today in Loudoun History

February was the peak month for Loudoun’s mills. On this day in any given year in the early 1800s, dozens of wagons would have been lined up at Magnolia’s (then a mill) and the Aldie Mill, processing the winter wheat that gave Loudoun the nickname “The Breadbasket of the Revolution.”
